HiresHere answers one question: can I apply for this remote job from my country? Here is how every verdict is made, and where it can go wrong.
Where the jobs come from
Every day we read the public job feeds of 327 companies’ hiring systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters). These are the same postings you see on their careers pages. A job that disappears from the feed is removed the same day. We never scrape LinkedIn, Indeed or any site that forbids it.
How a posting is read
An AI model reads each posting and records who may apply: allowed or excluded countries and regions, required time zones, work authorization, contract type and languages. It must quote the exact sentence it relies on. We check that the sentence really appears in the posting; if it does not, the verdict cannot be “Eligible”.
The verdict for your country is then computed by simple, fixed rules, not by the AI. The posting’s location field outranks company slogans such as “we hire globally”.
What the verdicts mean
- Eligible
- The posting says this role is open to your country or to anyone, anywhere.
- Likely
- Open to a region or time zone that includes your country. Worth applying; confirm with the employer.
- Unclear
- Remote, but the posting does not say where candidates may live. Ask before you invest time.
Jobs limited to other countries, or that need office attendance elsewhere, are not shown.
The limits
- Verdicts are automated estimates. Always confirm with the employer.
- A posting can be vague, or a company may not hire everywhere despite what it writes. When in doubt we prefer “Unclear” over a wrong “Eligible”.
- We do not republish full descriptions: only the title, company, verdict, a short quote and a link to the original posting.
- Spotted a mistake? Use “Report an error” on the job. Every report helps us fix the rules.
